Alexander Thompson Arnold CPAs works closely with ATA Technologies to provide high quality SAS 70 audits.  Four members of our staff, two accountants and two IT technicians, have earned received special certifications, so we can provide the knowledge and the skills to effectively provide this type of auditing service.

What is SAS 70?

SAS 70 is an acronym for Statement on Auditing Standard 70. It was developed and is maintained by the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants). Specifically, SAS 70 is a "Report on the Processing of Transactions by Service Organizations" where the ATA team audits and assesses internal controls of a service organization. At the end of the audit, we issue an report called the "Service Auditor's Report."

SAS 70 is not a simple checklist audit.  It requires thorough audit procedures and a reporting process that provides transparency to the businesses that work with the service organization. In addition, it assures the service organization's prospective clients that the service organization has been independently audited and deemed to have satisfactory controls and safeguards.
